About
Patricia Alejandra Cordoba is a mexican-born printmaker who lives and works in Florence, Italy and Mexico City.
From 1994 to 1997, she studied at the Massachusetts College of Art and at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, after that she graduated at Academia de Bellas Artes in San Carlo, Mexico.
In 2001 Patricia moved to Italy and focused on printmaking attending Bisonte International School of Graphic arts, whereas nowadays she works as a teacher in the Sarah Lawrence College Art Program.
Between 2009 and 2010 she undertook an Artist Recidency at la Ceiba Grafica, a (lithography ) printmaking studio.
Her work as an artist has been exhibited internationally : Suyama Space, Whashington State, Museo Marino Marini and galleria Tornabuoni in Florence, Galleria Kraczyna, in Italy, Museo de la estampa, Mexico and in occasion of the International Lithography Symposium in Sweden.
Her prints belong to many prestigious collections both private and public. She has held many solo exhibitions and she has been invited to several competitions and prizes, the last one being the International Biennal of etching where she's been awarded with Special mention.
