Rebecca Filippi was born in Piombino, Tuscany, in 1982.
In 2001 she enrolled at Florence Fine Arts Academy and attended Prof. Adriano Bimbi's landscape painting school.
She graduated in 2007, after that, she decided to study etching at Bisonte International School of Graphic Arts. The same year she got the qualification as "professional technician of etching and art printing".
Filippi is first of all a painter, most of the exhibitions she took part were about painting; moreover she's now approaching a new media as stop motion video.
For several years she has been involved in many projects about landscape painting, such as the show "Hills ans heavens of the Mugello" in New York City, at Pace University (2006).
In 2007 she won the first prize in the painting competition "Accademie a Castiglione D'Orcia" (Italy) and she was included in "Bisonte end of year exhibition".
In 2008 she took part to the group exhibition "Da Livorno a Firenze e ritorno".
In 2010 her first solo exhibition was displayed in "Villa Bivigliano", near Florence and the same year she joined the group exhibition "Animal Point" organized by Florence Fine Arts Academy in "70 rosso" Gallery.
She lives and works as a painter in her countryside studio house in Pontassieve, near Florence.
