Candid Arts

Born in Dolo (Venice), 1981. Author of nothing, she stopped asking herself and others what art is long time ago. Provisionally she works on her contemporaries' denial of the critical choice. During the last years, she
has investigated arguments such as bodies movement, bound behaviors, masses. She is deeply tied to the manual skill of (painting and) Original Graphic Art practice. At the moment this allows her to establish personal links between the so called pictorial film and moving images. What she tries to understand is the "statute" of the image - however it might be one - and of the Power. She seriously considers the "I prefer not to" hypothesis
assumed in Herman Melville's Bartleby. She studied Painting with Luciano Fabro and Alberto Garutti at Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan and Performance with Marina Abramovic in Braunschweig, Germany.

After the two years course in "Multimedia Arts of Cinema and Video" at Brera, she refused to graduate protesting the high scale of corruption of the institute. Winner of the national scholarship "Maria Luigia Guaita" for the "Calcographic Printmaking and Original Art Printing" annual course at the prestigious 'Il Bisonte - International School of Graphic Art' in Florence. Despite the avoidance of the today's art system with its markets, priests and visibility, she got involved in several art projects like:

She collaborated as artist, printer and printmaker at Giorgio Upiglio's Atelier in Milan (Italy) http://www.giorgioupiglio.com/biografia.php and at Willi Jesse Kupfrdruckerei in Berlin (Germany).
